Scene Asia asked a few of the galleries exhibiting at Art Stage Singapore to talk about a work they’re showing, as well as what they’re looking forward to seeing from other attendees.
David Maupin, co-founder, Lehmann Maupin, New York
What I’m bringing: Highlights at Art Stage Singapore will include new work by Ashley Bickerton, paintings by the Japanese artist Mr., and an installation of Do Ho Suh’s “Uni-Form/s: Self Portrait/s: My 39 Years,” which consists of a rack displaying all the uniforms worn by the artist throughout 39 years. Do Ho Suh, who will open a solo exhibition at the Leeum Samsung Museum in March 2012, will be among the artists represented in “Lehmann Maupin at STPI.”
What I’ll be looking for: Elmgreen & Dragset’s work at Massimo de Carlo, as well as the booth at India’s Nature Morte.
