Grotesque and Gorgeous: “Juergen” at Lehmann Maupin Gallery By Harper’s Bazaar Staff
We can’t wait to see the latest exhibition from rebel fashion photographer Juergen Teller at the Lehmann Maupin Gallery February 10. The gallery will feature the German-born artist’s edgy commercial and private work in a three-part show that includes his provocative photographs of Kristen McMenamy, alongside frank portraits of the artist’s family and friends. Famous for his controversial oeuvre (he once shot a zombie-like Björk with spaghetti nero hanging out of her mouth and an unabashedly nude Vivienne Westwood lying on a couch), Teller has collaborated with the likes of Westwood, Marc Jacobs, Yves Saint Laurent, Helmut Lang and Céline.
