Rachel Lehmann and David Maupin are pleased to announce that Jennifer Mora is now Senior Director at Lehmann Maupin. Mora has spent over a decade at the gallery, starting in 2010 as a gallery assistant. Since then, Mora has developed deep relationships with artists, collectors, and curators, and her new position recognizes her leadership, along with her strategic guidance of gallery relationships with such notable artists as Hernan Bas, Mr., OSGEMEOS, Calida Rawles, Do Ho Suh, and Erwin Wurm.
In her role as Senior Director based in New York, Mora will continue to work closely with the gallery’s executive leadership team to identify and cultivate new and existing artist relationships; liaise with museums and biennials on exhibition planning, organization, and production; consult on artist legacy and estate management; and collaborate with the gallery’s sales team to achieve artist and market development goals.
“Jen’s contributions to the gallery are innumerable,” explains Rachel Lehmann. “Over the past decade, she has fostered everlasting relationships with our artists; secured significant museum acquisitions on a global scale; and facilitated exhibitions at institutions across the world, most recently at the Phoenix Art Museum and the Centro de arte contemporáneo de Málaga. As we look to the future of Lehmann Maupin, we are confident in Jen’s ability to nurture our program and guide the expansion of the gallery with care and integrity.”
Mora affirms, “Lehmann Maupin’s forward-thinking vision and steadfast commitment to its artists were attributes that first attracted me to the gallery twelve years ago and remain a motivator for me to this day. I have witnessed many gallery milestones first-hand over the last decade, including our most recent 25th anniversary, and I feel energized to be a part of the gallery’s leadership at this particular moment, as we continue to expand and welcome new artists to the program.”
