The Real Miami Heat: Huffington Posts’ Guide to Art Basel Miami Beach
As you read this, there is a giant pulsating orb known as Miami Basel alluring a defenseless international audience of art lovers, collectors and artists to encircle its captivating glow. Amazingly, the main fair called "Art Basel | Miami Beach" started only nine years ago as the sister fair to "Art Basel | Switzerland" and has since mushroomed into an extravaganza with over 20 satellite fairs and numerous parties to go along with it. Crossover events feature music, film, architecture and design. The main fair is at the Miami Convention Center near the city's Art Deco Districts and then satellite fairs are sprinkled throughout the city in a tandem celebration. Here is a brief non-comprehensive guide to what events, fairs and shows await you should you fly south for the winter.
