For their 7th year participating in The Armory Show, Lehmann Maupin will feature a selection of works by artists Kader Attia, Nari Ward, and Tim Rollins & K.O.S., each of whom create artworks by repurposing pre-existing objects that have cultural and historical significance. By highlighting the associative potential of found materials, Attia, Ward, and Rollins & K.O.S. create powerful socially and politically engaged works. The act of developing cultural commentary is integral to their practices, using their works as platforms to consider larger social issues.
Lehmann Maupin will also present works by gallery artists including Anya Gallaccio, Sonia Gomes, OSGEMEOS, Angel Otero, Do Ho Suh, and Patrick van Caeckenbergh.
The gallery will concurrently have a booth (C14) at ADAA: The Art Show, running from March 4-8, 2015 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York, featuring a solo exhibition of new works by Tracey Emin.
